Education Resources:

The Missouri Press Association created a full-page Newspaper In Education feature on the anniversary of the Joplin tornado to remind, inspire and teach.  The feature, which was published in more than 100 newspapers and is available below, was written to help young readers understand what happened a year ago, appreciate the efforts to rescue and help rebuild the community, and to teach important safety information from lessons practiced and learned in Joplin.

Special thanks to Joplin Globe reporter Andra Stefanoni, writer, Beth Sharpe, designer, and the Missouri Press Foundation, funding.
