We just got confirmation that Deadline in Disaster will screen at the St. Louis International Film Festival in November.  A date/time/location is yet to be determined, but we'll let you know when the festival schedule is announced.  We're so excited to be sharing the film with St. Louis area audiences in November!  In addition to the festival theatre screening, the fest organizers would like to show our film at St. Louis area high schools, too...so we look forward to reaching out to film-goers of all ages!

Deadline in Disaster was recently shown to young journalists from around the country and professional editors participating in the Missouri Urban Journalism Workshop at the University of Missouri School of Journalism.  Anna Romero, the workshop director, says the film was very well received at the workshop, and it fit right in with Saturday afternoon's topic:  Reporting on disasters!

Our initial screenings
of the film have been a success because of you!  More than 2,000 folks have watched Deadline in Disaster at screenings in Joplin, Columbia and Warrensburg, Missouri in May and June.  Our silent auction brought in $4,000 - all of which will go towards a planned tornado museum in Joplin that will recognize The Globe's efforts in covering the storm and the rebuilding.

Thank you to our many friends and businesses that graciously donated items for the auction and for our audience members who generously bid.  A special thank you to Charles and Julie Davis, whose ideas, labor and enthusiasm made the planning of the silent auction look easy. We know it's not! But, we had a lot of fun in the process!
